Lagardère Travel Retail celebrates NZ wine industry

Lagardère Travel Retail is celebrating one of New Zealand’s most loved wine varietals, Pinot Noir, in their Aelia Duty Free stores in Auckland and Christchurch.
Exploring the wonderful world of the NZ wine industry, Aelia Duty Free launched the Pinot Playground Promotion which showcases an enviable selection of loved Pinot Noirs.

Together with partners Chard Farm, Craggy Range, Foxes Island, Nobilo, Surveyor Thomson, Mount Edward and Valli, the two month campaign celebrates the wonderful world of Pinot Noir’s from New Zealand, with some worldwide critics calling out the quality of NZ Pinot Noir’s to rival Burgundy.

Lagardère Travel Retail’s CEO Przemek Lesniak said “We are proud to collaborate with our brand partners to showcase premium products and localised experiences to our customers.”

To ensure the customers are fully immersed in the tasting experience, in-store sampling is available all year round for featured wines, with Pinot Playground Promotional wines taking pride of place until end of the promotion.

Chard Farm Sales Manager, Matt Groves says they have enjoyed a long and successful collaboration with Aelia Duty Free. “Being our brand ambassador at New Zealand’s gateway airport, we love the way they are able to bring a little of Central Otago and the Chard Farm experience to Auckland Airport, sharing our wonderful wines with international visitors.”

“The Pinot Playground promotion allows Aelia Duty Free to showcase some of the best examples of New Zealand’s most revered grape varieties – Pinot Noir” he says.
While these wines are perfectly matched for the cooler weather, Lagardère Travel Retail will continue to bring seasonal wine matchings to their Aelia Duty Free customers, with Sauvignon Blanc Showground arriving in October in selected stores, just in time for summer.

The Pinot Playground Promotion will run in store until the end of June, and offers ‘Buy any 2 and save 10%’.
Aelia Duty Free operates in nine locations across the Pacific.
